Our trip South

This last weekend we went south for a few days. Each year we go to Tuacaun with my family. It is so much fun!!! This year we left a day earlier than we normally do. We got away about 11:00 on Thursday after we went to the dentist. We were able to go and stay with Brian, Audrey and Katie that day. We had a great time with them.
The boys made a rocket with Brian while the girls played with Katie. Then we went to the school where Brian teaches and launched the Rocket. Everyone really enjoyed this activity.

After that we went to Cedar Breaks National Monument. It was so beautiful. It was really pretty. I loved seeing the layers in the rock and the different colors. The drive there was also pretty. Then we returned back to their house for dinner and a movie.

The next day they spoiled us with a great breakfast. We all went to the Iron Mission museum. It was really interesting to see the many different things from the pioneer days. The boys got models to make later and the girls got rings made from rocks with googlie eyes on them.

We then headed from there to St. George, we did not take I-15 we went out past Enterprise and down. This was a very relaxed drive and pretty. We saw many hawks and other birds along the way. We stopped at the monument for the Mountain Meadow Massacre. This was very interesting to read the many plaques that they have there. While there we saw a lizard. Magen spotted it. It sat there and posed for us a long time. The boys and I both got really good pictures of it.

We had a good time in St. George in our suite Thanks grandpa and grandma. The kids love St. George because they get two nights with grandma and grandpa while the parents go to Tuacaun. The parents too love the time away each year. We also meet for dinner on both Friday and Saturday. We all look forward to this weekend each year.

Blogger doesn't seem to like our pictures so we'll add them later as an update blog.
