We bundled up and went to the zoo on January 29th. We had a great time. We love to go to the zoo when it is cold because the animals move around a lot more. The art show was also going on so it was cool to see that too. It also great because not a lot of people go to the zoo in the snow. We put the kids in the fermals (as Lacey calls them). We stayed warm for the most part.
The eagles were making noises. I have never heard the eagles make noise. It was a very interesting.
The owl winking at us and the other one puffing up making himself bigger trying to be bigger. It was cool to watch him spread his wings and puff up.

The tigers were playing and wrestling with each other. The three cubs and the mom were all in one area together. This is the mom and she just laid around. We stood there for a very long time watching them.
We watched the giraffe for a long time too. James was trying to get a picture so the zoo keeper brought out a piece of bread and got the giraffe to come right over by us. It is fun when you get personal things like that because it is not crowded.
Here is Caden receiving one of his last webelos awards. He is excited to be moving on to eleven year old scouts. We had a fun time. They had an obstacle course for the kids to do also. It was fun to watch them run around crazy doing the different things.
