Pinewood Derby

The kids had a great time making their pinewood derbies. The girls of course were
not going to be left out of it either, so we made three cars. James did not have time to make a new one this year
so he used his Lighting McQueen from last year. Magen made a Barbie princess convertible.

Lacey made a Dora Limo, and Caden made the King from Cars. He was voted the "Drivers Dream" car.

Caden's car was a little slow the wheel was rubbing funny, but he loves his car!!!

The girls were really funny I would give them one color and then

let it dry before we did the next color.

They were very particular in the way that it was painted, especially Lacey.

They had a great time putting the stickers on and then the glitter paint of course was a big hit.

We had to make sure this year with Caden's and last year with James' that we had

all the little details that each car has in the movie.

They did great at painting and decorating them.
We almost have a complete "Cars" collection.
They have made Guido, Luigi, Sally, Lighting, and the King.

All the cars turned out really great. Our kids of course were the best.
They are in it for the car not the speed or winning. They just wanted certain designs.
Caden wasn't even sure he wanted to race but he had a good time.

At the end they let the brothers and sisters of the scouts race.

We were able to have all four of them go against each other.

They had so much fun doing that and Magen will tell you that hers won both times.

Thanks Dad for helping us with our cars.
Can't wait to see what they think of to make next year.

The Pinewood Derby is always so fun. Our Elders' Quorom in Logan had a pinewood derby. Adam didn't make a car, but it was fun to go watch! All of your kids did awesome on their cars; I think they look great!

How about: "Painting Pink on the Pretty Pinewood Derby"? Is it on the jump?

Those are impressive paint jobs. I couldn't paint a car that well. Of course, at the rate we are going, we may never have a boy and need to worry about that.

I miss seeing you guys! We are in the health now, so we will be there Sunday...but I just want you to know how cool it is that you make everyone a pinewood derby car! What a neat family!
