Caden's Birthday

How many days should one person's birthday really last. Saturday March 7th Caden's friends came for a party. He invited three friends to come and play the Wii with him and have pizza. They had so much fun playing. It was funny to listen from the other room to the boys talking and deciding which game to play next. Caden had a great time. They had pizza and cupcakes for lunch then presents and more playing. They boys were not sure that they wanted to go home. They ranged in ages from 9 to 6. One of the boys is a brother of the other and Caden and him have become quite good friends. This was one of the easiest parties that we have done because I did not have to plan games or activities to keep them busy.
Then on Monday the 9th we invited grandparents, and a few aunts and families to come. It turned out to be kind of bad weather and the only ones that came were Kirt and Marcia. ( Thanks Mom and Dad for always supporting us.) It was fun to have them come and spend time with our family. We love to have visitors. We had plenty of treats since not many made it for the party. Caden wanted treats like Magen had for her for her tea party. It was fun to put together all the treats that he enjoys and few that others would even if he didn't.

Then on Caden's real birthday the 10th we just had a little family party. He went to scouts, then after did his homework which he really did not want to. Then the waiting game started for dad to get home. It's five minutes mom, two minutes mom, he should be here anytime. Finally dad made it home for him to open his presents. (Rick had a busy day it was dad and doughnuts for James so he went to work came down for that and then back to work and then home again in the evening. The boys love that he comes though) The ones that he was sure that mom had never bought the ones that he really wanted. An Edgar and Ellen movie, speed racer cars, a yo-yo and a bag of treats. He was excited. After presents we went to McDonald's for dinner. Mainly I think because of the toys that they had. He wanted to get home to watch his movie and play with his yo-yo. He had a fun three days of birthday and will celebrate again on Friday with the other grandparents.

You can never celebrate too much in my opinion! And all I have to say is this...I would have driven through snow for some of those treats! Those look delish!

Happy 9th Caden and you should get our card SOON!
