Reflections and Academic Awards

Here is a picture of Magen with the awards and the ribbons that the kids earned for their academics at the school.  It is for math, language arts, and attendance.  The kids really love it because they get free kids meals to different restaraunts.  Here is a picture of all three of the kids with their prizes from reflections they did really awesome.  We are so proud of them.  Magen and James both move on to the next level with their entries.  Caden came in second.  They each got certificates, cupcakes, palytickets, color me mine coupons, trophies (Magen and James), and an art gift bag for Caden.  The theme was Beauty Is...    Magen painted colored and cut out all these flowers her statement was that she thinks that they are beautiful and she loves to do them for her mom.
Caden took this picture at Thanksgiving point he also drew this one of the dragons.   His statement on the waterfalls he talked about being with family.  On the dragon one he said  beauty is creativity.James took his picure also at Thanksgiving Point  his statement was about being  in peaceful places.  Then he painted with watercolors this one that is from a picture he also took his statement was about the beautiful colors of flowers around us.They had lots of fun doing it.  They were very excited about doing it and we do not even have to force them to do it, they get excited and we have to keep up with them and their ideas to get them done.  They are all becoming great artists!!Here is Lacey stuck in her chair at the assembly.  She then went with the Kindergarteners to watch a movie in music with Magen.  I went in and she was sitting more still than several Kindergarteners and even reminded a few to be quiet and watch the movie.  At the end she would not come with me she lined up with Magen and walked back to class with them and sat on the stairs waiting for the next thing.  Then she lined up and walked with them to lunch for their Thanksgiving Lunch.  She loves being with Magen and thinks that she is big enough to be in school.  We had a fun day at the school.  Rick even joined for lunch too.  I have become popular with the sixth graders they sit by me at lunch now.  I love helping at the school and meeting the kids and teachers that the kids are around all day.
